Planning a better Portal
25/05/2008
The Planning Portal provides a one-stop-shop for planning services and will act as a central repository and exchange for information relating to planning applications. It has a diverse target audience, including local authorities, interested members of the public, consultants and applicants.
Drawing upon its extensive experience Technophobia will provide expert guidance in the design of the E-Consultations Hub interface. We know that the key to the success of any effective interface is the creation of an intuitive user journey that is both relevant and technically accessible to all its stakeholders. An effective application on the site must limit the number of frustrated users who drop out and ensure a friction-free route to their objectives. To ensure the success of the hub Technophobia are once again delighted to be working with our usability partners, cxpartners. As always, they will add immense value to the project by conducting a detailed usability review of the proposed system both before and during its development. Their findings inform and underpin the design which will be improved and refined as prototypes are also tested against users.
On reviewing the initial concept designs Chantelle Hallett (Planning Portal - eConsultation Business Analyst) said “All of the team are very impressed with the Concept Designs, so a big thank you to your team and CX Partners.”
