What we do

What do we do? We spend all of our time living (and dreaming) in the land of web.

Ask anyone who lives within our walls - or indeed any of our clients - and they will tell you, the reason why we are so good at what we do is because we love the web. This means everyone that comes into contact with us benefits from our unwavering passion to learn and share this knowledge with those around us.

We pride ourselves on the quality of our work, it is our primary value as an organisation and we demonstrate it in everything that we do. Our software (including, but not limited to PHP, Java, Ruby on Rails and .NET frameworks) is still hand-crafted by expert engineers and our design templates (CSS, XHTML) are purpose-written by our design experts – this means that they are naturally standards compliant, search engine-friendly, efficient to maintain and highly-accessible; each of our systems meets at least the first level of the W3C WAI compliance guidelines. When we do integrate content management systems (CMS) with our systems, we ensure that they produce the same high standard of compliant code that we see in any of our custom developments.

Other supporting technologies such as Flash and JavaScript are also coded precisely by hand, which allows us to create wonderfully rich interfaces for your users… each, of course, with an accessible fallback as an alternative for those visitors that can’t make full use of the raft of emerging web technologies… whether they are visually impaired or simply using their iPhone. TechnoPhobia recognises that web accessibility simply involves ensuring that your web application is functional and intuitive regardless of the choice of media that is used to access it.

We also offer secure, robust hosting as a complementary service to our clients. This allows us to offer the best possible overall application management package, enabling the precise tailoring and careful evolution of the web applications that we create.
